Started in June 2024, TriStar Trains is my way of creating a business out of my love of trains and model railroading.
What it is
TriStar Trains specializes in buying and selling HO and N scale model trains. We also offer a variety of ESU LokSound decoder programming services, consulting services and small layout construction for businesses. If you have any questions about model railroading or are looking for someone to buy your collection in the Greeneville/Tri Cities area, WE HAVE YOU COVERED!
Why I did it
I have loved trains my whole life. I got into model railroading around the age of 8 and never lost the passion for it. I have built many model railroads so far in my life including my current CSX New River Sub layout which you can read about here. As I continue my studies of business while in college, I thought that starting a small business based on model trains would not only prove a great learning experience, but also an opportunity to grow the hobby of model railroading in the area.
